There is nothing like customs officers having the right to take goods from importers as samples if there is no official directive to that effect.Customs officers use that to illegally take imprted items from importers. It is a cunning way of circumventing the civil service rule which forbids civil servants from accepting gifts.It is a misuse of the law which allows customs to draw samples in certain exceptional circumstances to dtermine the quality of goods for duty purposes.

On the 21st august 2015 at 6.30pm I was to pick a passenger from nigeria at kotoka airport. I drove in to park my car at the parking lot where the airport police post is.A official guide at the ticket cage told there was no light but l could park inside.The whole parking lot was full. I picked my visitor and when I was about leaving the lot a fat black girl was at the exit side collecting 5gh cedis frm all exiting cars but no RECEIPT was issued!

What about the BNI And NATIONAL SECURITY OFFICIALS at jubilee who collects 500 to 1000. Cedis before you leave the port gate. I can attest to l have their names.
