It's because of the kickbacks and what you can steal from the inflated prices thus why you abuying new ones. Why don't you buy spare parts or cannibalize some of them to fix them. Where are the stolen buses? Some politicians, board and executive members were implicated, what happened? Corruption. incompetence, looting, stealing, kickbacks, "quid pro quo" deals, inflated prices and lies are the hallmarks of this administration.

Kuffour bought Ghana Telecom back from Telekom Malaysia, who bought it for $38million from the NDC.
He sold it to Vodafone for more than $900million. So, Moses, tell me, $38million and $900million, which one is peanuts?

He brought in the Norwegians to manage it and they destroyed it. Then it was handed over to Ghanaians and Ghana Telecom was ready for burial because the Ghanaians who managed it cleaned it out. They killed it and completed what the Norwegians and NPP couldnt do

You didn't address the points I raised but went into a defensive mood assuming I'm NPP spokesperson or a member. Why do you want to order almost 500 buses while you've 400 broken buses sitting idle and 40 more stolen by board members and top employees? Is the 500 new buses not going to suffer a similar fate? We need to stop this NPP/NDC bull crap and think about Ghana first. For your information, I'm neither a member of NPP nor NDC. Morally, I can't be a member of these two corrupt criminal parties period.

Probably the money spent on these 495 busses could have purchased 600 buses.

Busses from China are for the huge kick backs only. They will break down on average within 6 months most being beyond repair due to the high cost.

Busses from China are for the huge kick backs only. They will break down on average within 6 months most being beyond repair due to the high cost.

So the deal is only for 295 Scanias which again have no maintenance base in the country. But at least Scania is part of the VW group which is blocked from paying bribes by law and internal regulations.

However, if one would follow up on the details of the deal several layers of "in betweens" would be found where a sufficient amount of the buying price is siphoned away into the always same pockets. Poor Ghana falls victim to its own leaders again and again.

I believe 100% that somebody has already made money out of the purchase because used buses had been purchased, repainted to look like new instead of new buses supposed to be purchased. These ministers and parliamentarians are all crooks.
