Problem is that it is not only China that has infiltrated the Ghanaian market with their goods, Turkey is on the rise, so are some East European Countries. Me personally, I commend and thank them, because we are incapable of taking care of ourselves, so they have to fill the vacuum, else we will perish.

Good idea. I reckon the State will look atthe procurement laws in respect of this new directive.

Slow path to industrialization. I don't think we need cutlasses in Accra any longer, but that and wheelbarrows are things we can manufacture and export to our rural folks and other west African nations. This new generation of Ghanaians are extremely lazy and over copulating. All they aspire to is selling perishables along the road side and pavements. They don't pay taxes although they generated massive incomes. They pressure government for so much free stuff but do not want to contribute. We need to force them to work and stop making babies they cannot raise like ordinary humans. They are producing unhealthy looking, genetically inferior looking babies in the villages and rural towns, then shipping them all to Accra to destroy or retard any attempt for Ghana to become progressive and civilized. Our problems are overwhelming such that a ruthless leader is our only solution.I hope Mahama will go ruthless in his last term.

That is the challenge and question! Why are locally produced products more expensive??? There are many various reasons for that, but there are also ways of reducing the prices; lets put on our thinking caps!!

Market Survey to know whatever, before his announcement of the ban?.
If yes,what is the percentage or ratio of imported Cables, etc on the Market to locally produced.Did inspectors from the Standard Board Certified the quality of the product.Or just that maybe someone is in good books and therefore,should monopolize the Market. Again, monopoly of the Market Creates price hike.And Competition Stabilize or reduce prices to a fair or afordable levels.Anyway.

That is why we are talking about the need to upgrade the power as soon as possible first and foremost. This is common sense. Dont do lipservice politics. If we have power more investors will come and jobs will be created and you get your peace of mind. You cannot use charcoal to wind these companies so stop those talkings. You ban the imported cables, and you create artificial shortages ...Create a competition in supply and you are on course. ELECTRICITY,ELECTRICITY ELECTRICITY....Trust me if you fix the electricity you may get a good chance to win power again.
