  WE HAVE BEEN PLEADING WITH THE GOVERNMENT FOR YEARS NOW TO ASSIST FARMERS WITH SOME SPECIFIC NEEDS BUT THEY HAVE JUST IGNORED US.BESIDES SOME SHOWY DONATIONS AND SCHEMES THEY(NDC)LARGELY IGNORE FARMERS.AGRIC MINISTER IS ONE OF THE POSITIONS THAT MUST BE AWARDED TO A PROFESSIONAL AND NOT JUST A POLITICAL APPOINTEE.FIIFI HAS SHOWN THROUGH HIS INNEPTNESS THAT HE IS NO QUASHIGAH AND COULD LEARN ON THE JOB.GHANA'S MOVING FROM AGRIC IS ILLOGICAL AND SHORTSIGHTED.WE NOW HAVE THE FOREIGN CURRENCY FROM THE OIL PROCEEDS TO HELP OUR FARMERS BUILD LARGE MECHANIZED COMMERCIAL PLANTATIONS BUT OUR GOVERNMENT HAS DECIDED TO RATHER INVEST IN MILLIONAIRE FOOTBALLERS.WE CALL OURSELVES AFRICAN BRAZIL BUT FAIL TO COPY THE BRAZILIAN INVESTMENTS IN AGRIC AND MANUFACTURING.IS FOOTBALL GOING TO GIVE US COCOA ROADS AND COCOA SCHOOLS AND COCOA SCHOLASHIPS.HOW MUCH MONEY DID FOOTBALL MAKE FOR GHANA LAST YEAR?HAVE WE EVEN WON ANYTHING PRESTIGIOUS RECENTLY?WISE UP GHANA!PUT YOUR NEEDS BEFORE YOUR DESIRES!!!

  what a disappointed prez Mahama and his minister who dont fear God. Agric is collapsing every month, lack of Extension officers, lack of motor-bikes etc

  The minister of agriculture has no idea about agriculture. He was appointed because he can insult people. The post-harvest losses in agriculture is 50% and Fifi Kwetey does not know what to do. When he was minister of state in charge of financial and allied services, he planned with Woyome, Betty Mould Iddrisu, Barton Oduro, Tony Lithur etc to steal money belonging to the state in the form of dubious judgment debts payments.

  This should not be a surprise, should be expected if you appoint inexperienced people to key roles. Who thought Fifi Kwetey can bring any value to Agriculture in Ghana. He is only known for his big mouth his brains on the contrary is very small. Perhaps an incompetent President can best work with incompetent people.
