Oh sorry, I am reacting to the report. The amount of money Africa lost in terms of corruptions. It doesn't make sense, it is about time we fight this evil corruption.

It is because we don't have qualified politicians. Any small rat gets a push from some greedy rich dogs and he / she is pushed to the nation's high office. Such uncouth person knows nothing but to satisfy those who sponsored him. He therefore devices a means of getting rich within 24 hours. I think we need to scrutinize the background of every nominee for election. Without that, bandits will always find their way into the sensitive areas of our governance and play the fool. In Ghana for instance, I believe with all my heart that we need a Presidential Council in place of the One-Man-Presidency. That council will have the mandate to control affairs of the ruling party to ensure the safety of the nation's interest. On the other hand, this One-Man-Presidency gives absolute to the winning party and that party seeks only the interest of it's members treating others as enemies to the state. The way we choose parliamentarians is the beginning of all the corruption.

Democracy is not a good system of governance for african countries. It allows the elite to loot and misappropriate monies from our resources because institutions such as the police, judiciary and parliament don't function as they should. The civil service is not any better. We are just not civilised enough to practice democracy in the form we are trying to practise it. We abuse the unbridled freedom democracy offers to be lazy and indisciplined. What we need is a compassionate autocrat to whip us all in line. That may have its disadvantages but if we want to develop at the pace of the likes of Singapore Malaysia, and Botswana and leave a legacy for coming generations, we will have to make some sacrifices.

The Norwegian police have a warrant for a Pakistani-Norwegian who has committed crimes in Norway and Switzerland but neither the Norwegian government nor the Swiss government do anything about it. They allow this crook to move about and around the world where he finds new opportunities for crime in impoverished Ghana. Why haven't the Norwegian police or the Swiss police issued and international arrest warrant (Interpol) for the arrest of this Norwegian-Pakistani crook? Why does the state of Norway allow this wanted criminal to still be employed by top financial institutions in Norway?
