I agree that with our utilities they would be best served if the private sector was engaged to run them, after all government are not in place to essentially run what are businesses all be both the water company of Ghana and ECG are businesses with a difference and as such government will have an obligation to ensure the private sector whom come in to manage have a strong framework of governence that ensure we are not fleeced as customers given we are a captive audience, we have no choice we need electricity and water to survive but the amount of financial commitment needed to run theses utilities on a daily basis and the investment needed on a annual basis to meet demand and fixing aged infrastructure against what government budget can afford, the inefficiency in collecting revenue, illegal usage, corrupt officials and working practices is why I am a proponent of privatisation.

That's the point - no accountability and, it's the govt's job to ensure ECG is run efficiently. If they claim ECG is inefficient, then they're to blame. It's a sign of totally incompetent leadership at all levels.

Yes madam u are right. Hw many times do I ha to beg ECG before they come to change our defective meter. Our landlord has been at ECG office severally (Afienya office) but prove futile. He has now given up. Who is to be blamed

Even when ECG tariff was low you lazy Mona and your chop chop government could not pay their bills how can you pay ECG now with this almost 60% increase? Lazy people with lazy thinking. Dumsor would always be there. I only blame Kwabena Donkor for not telling the truth that DUMSOR is as a result of government Chop Chop but not because of shortage of power generation. DR. Bawumia said it all that running propaganda government would expose you people. BUT the finance ministry has failed to pay ECG for the power govt/govt agencies have used since 2009. Come again Miss Quartey. Spending long late afternoon hours with the president doesn't allow you to open your mouth anyhow like you open your legs for "sisimu d3" Mahama.
