Even if you're working at the bottom rungs of the economy, you can become rich with proper financial management - something anybody can learn!!

The CEO of Coca Cola is not the owner. She is also a salaried employer hired to add value to the company. Her huge salary, bonus, perks or what have you is contingent upon performance. Mr Tokornu's statement holds in cases where the skill required to so a particular job is easily accessible. If you skill is in demand and hard to fill, one can be rich working as a salaried employee.

The moral moral of his story is one of self industry. One can do better without total dependence on government for job.

The CEOs of Coca cola and Sainsburys are NOT business owners. As their titles go, they are chief executives. They are hired by the company just as the cleaner is. And they can be fired too if they do not perform. A take-home lesson is you can get rich as an employee, but it's better to do so at the top of the pyramid where the salary, perks and bonuses are great - certainly enough to make you rich.

Those you mentioned are not ordinary salaried workers but business people and don't be deceive that being paid monthly can make you rich, it's a lie unless you start some business, Bill gate gets salary at the end of every month so you think if he hasn't invested those monies in other businesses he would get to where he is now..no way. if you buy a house in uk in your mind you might think it's an asset which is not but a liability unless you have paid it in full and rented it to someone to generate monthly income but if not then it becomes a liability because anything that doesn't bring you money but rather cost you money is a liability. Many out there are being deceived that when you buy a house in the states or uk and elsewhere is an asset....hahha, in the bankers balance sheets it's an Asset but yours it's a big liability

Very true. I was in banking for 2yrs but now that i am doing smtin for myself i clearly notice the difference. Even a week's earning can pay for 3 or 4 months salary. Ghanaians lets use our brain.

Does he earn enough to make him rich? Does the Bank belong to him or is he an employee? The business does not belong to the CEO. The CEO is hired and can be fired. S/he is an EMPLOYEE of the company. Would you say teachers, university lecturers, nurses, doctors, pharmacists etc earn enough salaries to become rich? Judging from the bankruptcy of your thinking you would say they can't. But I do know several of these professionals who are rich, whatever your definition of 'rich' is. Fact is if you lack financial management, no amount of income will make you rich, whereas with good financial planning you can make a headway even on minimum wage!! I get the feeling this won't make any sense with you and I am thus wasting my time here. I am out of this thread!!!! Good luck.

am a common teacher but been able to invest with my little salary andam doing very well by God's grace...l now have two taxis,trotro,a farm,two tricycles and bike with my house almost completed..started from nowhere...l use to collect 69ghc as allowance back in school and a whole banker can say this then that bank had no future..you see how some elders and leaders in this country can't think????? what's investment for..????the best things in this world normally start with nothing,#blockhead

A business man would prefer using his for instance ghc 20000 for investment like buying Hyundai Sonata for taxi to generate daily income whiles an ordinary salary worker will use that same money to buy that same Hyundai Sonata for leisure. At the end of the day who makes money , I guess the investmentor, cuz even monthly maintenance of that same car doesn't come out of his pocket but the business but in the ordinary man's case it comes out of his peanut salary at the end of the day who loose. Worth creation is not a rocket science but a common sense
