  I'll be a bit unfair and use the province that has the best rates. Manitoba uses 100% hydro and their rates for normal 3 phase users start at 23Gp and go down and usage increases. The rates are SIGNIFICANTLY lower for a large business like a mining operation. ECG rates for mining is GH¢ 1.14.
  
  Corporate tax rates are lower than in Ghana too.
  
  Please, you got to not listen to the Ghanaian politicians who are saying that you need to pay a 'fair' rate. You are paying high rates because someone else (i.e. government and their institutions) are not paying at all !!!!
