mostly all imported vehicle parts that come from Nigeria, China etc are below standard and are dangerous to cause accident on our road. why cant you ban them?

This story is a palpable lie. The Nigerian writer just took an article from Ghana titled "Should Ghana close up to make Nigeria open up?" and chose to interpret it this way. The original article from Ghana only captures the concerns of Ghanaian industrialists who feel Ghana may have to adopt some of the protectionist measures of Nigeria. The article, while wrongly titled, is largely a reproduction of the Ghanaian article in a confused manner. The careful reader will realise there is no evidence in the article to show Ghana has banned goods from anywhere. It's a shame

If Ghana and the rest of Africa adopts Buhari Government's trade restrictions, Nigerians economy will suffer. Simply because there will shortages and demand will pull inflation. Their currency will depreciate further against the leading currencies and gradually the economy will begin to feel the impact. Nigeria had courted the idea for a long time to promote their local industries, but the ripple effect deterred previous governments. Your last stated however provided the solution, that we all need each other in the sub region and promoting trade within the sub region is been encouraged and must continue.
