It has also been advocated for by the private sector thru the Oil Palm Development Association at least since 2012.   Talk Talk Talk, that's all GH officials & ministers know. Oil Palm needs a full Board just like cocoa, not some simple, powerless Development Agency. Kuffour's NPP set up an Oil Palm Dev't Company which is doing so little we sometimes forget it even exists, now NDC sets up a Dev't Agency. Would cocoa have come this far with a Dev't Company or Agency? At this rate it will take us well over a century to really enjoy the full benefits of Oil Palm as a nation. Can they mention any one country that has seen tremendous dev't on the back of cocoa? The answer is no. Any countries developed on the back of Oil Palm? Well, check out Indonesia (need I mention Malaysia?) and one will realise we are not really serious as a nation. God help GH.
