  In Ghana the mind-set that everything that comes from Europe is the best is a canker that sits at the back of about 24 Million heads in Ghana. Europeans patronise their own products. There are more Renault, Citroen, and Peugeot in France and her sister Countries than anywhere else in the world. Italians patronise in Fiat because it gives Jobs and keeps the money in the country. Germans are buying from their own because even those outside Germany keep buying only Made in Germany and this has help them to get money to research better and produce better to reduce the cost of goods only when you are working and earning money in Germany. Ghana instead is signing unnecessary trade agreements to the disadvantage of local production. The give the hard currency for others to import lace clothes, "charleywote" and almost nothing for raw materials for local production. Policies can change the mind set, not Politicking.

  Our politicians fly out to DIE in FOREIGN HOSPITALS and we SEE NO NEED to equip our OWN hospitals..ALTHOUGH there are QUALIFIED Ghanaians...
  THE COLONIAL mentality should give way to PROPER EDUCATION...not just passing Exams, but KNOWING WHO WE ARE as Africans and that NO FOREIGN Govt. will develop Ghana for us.
  OUR FORMER COLONIAL MASTERS come and tell us we are NOW development partners and we say ...Yea....!! Are we that foolish ????????

  What is all the noise about, Ghanaians eat local dishes more than any other in the world, that is why they have bad health and die like flies. Ghanaians were made in Ghana fabrics more than any other, that is well we stink with sweat all the time. Ironically it is cheaper for the poor to purchase well engineered used foreign clothing than to buy these fanciful masquerade shirts and blouses. There is no way you can force a sophisticated and civilized Ghanaian to patronize made in Ghana items if they know it is detrimental to their health and integrity. Many people painstakingly were these batakari, kente and all those sprawling dresses for men because they want to FIT IN. It is really disgusting to see men dressed as good as women, thne it is simply unwise for modern women to wrap themselves up so tightly in clothing designed to restrict their movement and een ability to work. I cannot believe watching women on the farm wrapped in pieces of cloth, or men with togas and a cutlass, for every stroke they have to throw the fabric over their shoulders, when are we gonna act like God gave us and white people the same brain size? I watched the Vice President struggling with his attire on Independence Day and I was like "this too be by force"? Our problem is we know we suck, we know we are too lazy to catch up, so we create this unenviable situation and divide, that if you don't dumb down or lower your self esteem and taste in life, you not African enough or Ghanaian enough. Same way some people even question your nationality if you don't have command of Twi, one of a newly enforced local language.
  
  If all things Ghanaian were that good, nobody would have to FORCE us to like it. I do not eat Ghanaian, I do not drink Ghanaian and I will not wear anything Ghanaian, but I am the Greatest Ghanaian Alive as far as I am concerned!!!

Why didn't he buy the kantanka cars for them?Because that's how they get their loot into their foreign banks.Ghanaians should wake and realize these corrupt N D C government is just fooling them.
