  What the hell should the Ministry be involved in this for? Remember when Jerry Rawlings went round closing down factories owned by opposition party members.

  A numbers of things must be put in place before the factory is opened otherwise all these money would drain into the gutter.

  A numbers of things must be put in place before the factory is opened otherwise all these money would drain into the gutter.
  All those obsolete machines must be changed.
  All these old electrical cables must be replaced with modern once.
  Technical staff must be engaged for both management level and production level.
  The target for selling the grey baft should be GTP instead of the workers associates.
  All grey cloths must be sold GTP where prices are quoted in dollars instead of selling to the locals where the grey are sold far far cheaper.
  All company suppliers must go through bidding process.
  These are but few measures that must be put in place before the factory in reopened

  What about Anglogold?? won't government raise credit facility to support the ailing mine. can't government partner Anglogold to revamp the company? or the Obuasi people are not part of Ghana?

They can never pay or it is just an election promise.It has to be privatised! What is government doing making "clothes"? It is like COCOBOD borrowing money each year from foreign sources with government guarantees to pay fat salaries to CEOs and their thief thief.In CIV, the private sector does this cocoa business far better.Our leaders would not agree because their " take would be at stake" .Ghana is in their pockets I guess.
