  Obuasi has been in existence for 120 years and we have never encountered such indiscipline and the army which paid by the taxes of all including the workers of such mines can be ordered to an assignment of such implications for the minister to be lamenting in this manner. I have worked in Obuasi mine for 31 years and this character must be uprooted with the force and understanding it deserve.

  I'm at Obuasi and have heard and seen how the government is playing politics with this terrible thing that illegal miners are doing at Obuasi. MCE and Ackon should boldly come out n tell us they have no hands in it! They made a deal with illegal miners and now they can't fail them. The NDC government itself has sat and watched Anglo struggle to get things in order. So this is the government that wants to rule Ghana for another four years! AngloGold Ashanti has to take the government to a world court, in fact, to international criminal court! This is a deliberate act on the part of government and they should pay every penny of costs Anglo will incur from this incident. As for the MCE and Ackon, it's my prayer that they will live long enough to reap what they have sowed. If they think they are doing the right thing by allowing ILLIGALITY to prevail..let the Sun shine on their deeds!
