  What are the benefits to our country of these mega oil and gas projects?
  
  The foreign companies take a far greater share of the profits and pay little by way of tax and royalties.
  
  We need to use our oil and gas reserves as equity in the projects, rather than hand over concessions to the foreign companies.
  
  Better still, we need to extract the oil and gas and sell it ourselves. That way all the profits accrue to us rather than to foreigners.
  
  Let us plan for this and act now!!
