  I miss you, Ajoa Yeboah-Afari, Elizabeth Ohene, Joyce Aryee, Cameron Duodu, Ken Bediako, John Kugblenu and all the editorial legends of the Daily Graphic, The Mirror, Ghanaian Times and The Spectator.
  
  Those were the days when English Grammar was English Grammar.
  Apart from school, your writing skills helped me learn and challenge myself.
  
  Today, I cringe and ache because a simple sentence by our writers is hard to understand because spellings and tenses are crooked, and punctuation marks are carelessly placed.
  
  Nigerian editorial grammar is what has permeated Ghanaian writing today.
  In short, serious, professional editing has died. I will always miss you guys. Bless you all.

  Yes Mum, you're perfectly right about that. Also, people must be able to access information through online media. Helps reduce cost for both publishers and readers, thereby increasing circulation (reach).

  News papers are faced with a new generation turning to web media, thus leaving fewer buyers to patronize newspapers. This in turn drives the cost of putting out newspapers. Better to see them charge a little more and survive ...

  News papers are faced with a new generation turning to web media, thus leaving fewer buyers to patronize newspapers. This in turn drives the cost of putting out newspapers. Better to see them charge a little more and survive so that there'll be more competing dailies or weeklies, than to be forced to lower prices and then see themselves fold in no time. Having to deal with dwindling number of readers, fewer papers are being printed, and no organization can survive without having to raise its prices to ensure continued existence. This is the predicament facing newspapers today. The focus rather should be a demand that the papers offer better quality and balanced stories.
