It seems they guys cannot think and are desperate to try their hands at anything to win votes.
I thought the president said it is a vision of his. After TOR can produce 60 barrels. Wouldn't there be upgrades and other related deficiencies be fixed during this progress? Ghana people are always ready to shoot down anythi ...

I think you envyPrez Mahama for his
vision. I am sure your father was one of those who opposed Dr Nkrumah when he planned to build Tema Harbour, Motorway, Trade Fair, etc.Do you understand what you said?
The so called UP party criticized Nkrumah on every major development project undertaken. Job six hundred, the silos, etc were not completed because of these myopic thinkers. Nkrumah was 50 years ahead of them in time. The sa ...

eh President said a new refinery is to be built at the premises of TOR to increase its capacity to 100,000 as against the 45,000 it does today. For TOR to be real efficient it requires a tripling of its current capacity even ...

I think that the idea to build a new refinery sounds great, but i feel that it will be proper to build this proposed refinery not in Tema but in either western, central or volta relgions. This I believe will open up the count ...

My dear Ewusie the capacity o TOR is small and requires upgrade to about 150,000. So adding to the structure in the short term is the best. Otherise it must be shut down as it is too small to be efficient. Then a new and also ...

we can't manage the white elephant and we are eager to build new stuff. wat makes u think the new refinery will not be another white elephant
Why put all your eggs in one basket? Accra/Tema is getting choked and out of hand. After all isn't the oil coming from the western region? Think about the pipe laying from the west to Tema and its vulnerabilities.
Mahama is a liar, just ignore this pathetic liar.
Surely, the more refined petroleum products Ghana can produce, for sale locally, and for export to the ECOWAS market, the better off will our country be - as it will enable us cut down on the importation of such refined produ ...

It look like Acep was too quick to raise a point whiles there is no reason to do that.
In their own statement they talk about expansion - so expansion at where, different location or same yard (So where lies the deference ...

You are not forward looking the President is on his feat thinking like Nkrumah. Sorry people like you should not be on the air waves.
The current MD, Kwame Awuah Darko is a good man. Since he took over things seem to be good. But I remember he said TOR is currently operating at 35% capacity.. and is even recording profit. That's good. Ets invest in maximizi ...

dr. did you listened to the president before commenting.
This is a misplaced priority and clearly points to the notion of the Create-Loot-Share that some Ghanaians have about the NDC government.
I thought plans are underway to build a petroleum refinery in Takoradi in the wester ...

"Am not the least CONVINCED on this one".
If TOR has more land space and builds a refinery on it is not an expansion!
From what the president said, we need another refinery in addition to the one that is already there.
What ACEP is arguing for is that the present refinery can be made to be more efficient without Ghana building another on ...

Its really not about adding up but rather sustaining it.
Its all about sustainance. There should be a clear guideline to sustain them which can be backed by law.
