  untruthfulness and lies are killing ghanians,ecg after collecting money or bills don,t do what is due to generate electricity for the citizenry,one person will pocket all the money or shared among themselves and leave maintenance work undone,this is killing ghana,even the president doesn,t do what is necessary to be done for the citizenry,ghana is bullshit,that is why things are going from bad to worse in that country.ndc under rawlings should have done this ,if it were to be helpful,i mean the privatization of the ecg.

  How on earth do you expect poor people to pay the high bills.where are the real Ghanaians.The country is full of foreigners so every one is quite.

  Would the ECG be disconnecting the services as a show of power and revenge, or to hide its own fraudulent connections that some claim some of its employees might have done to milk the State?

  Would the ECG be disconnecting the services as a show of power and revenge, or to hide its own fraudulent connections that some claim some of its employees might have done to milk the State?
  
  If it is not for either of the above reasons, and it disconnects the services to customers who have been over-billed by the faulty meters, and could not pay on time, the ECG would be adding to its problems with its clients. And the Nation would have no pity for it and its employees when the Government decides to privatize it, or fire the personnel en mass.
  
  The company may just be lucky that the Government might not fire its employees for flouting the directives of the Government via the PURC, and doing things its own way to both hurt the customers further and the reputation of the Government in an Election year.
  
  As important as their services to the Nation are, the ECG workers must not think they are irreplaceable. The Government could tap into the Military to bring its Electricians to take over the routine operations of the ECG Technicians, and train new employees to replace any 'naughty' and uncooperative employees of the ECG.
  
  I remember when the late President Ronald Reagan of the USA sacked all striking Airline Traffic Controllers in the USA for their refusal to go back to work.
  
  The Controllers had dared Reagan via their Unions, and Reagan was all happy and eager to quash and fire them to prove to his Conservative Americans how much he disliked the Unions.
  
  He deployed the Military to assist in controlling the Airline Traffic until replacements were found via new Training and re-engaging of retired Controllers.
  
  Our ECG personnel must therefore take note, and not overextend themselves to resist the PURC.
