It is so annoying to hear Mahama talk about I exportation of power. It is simply ridiculous. There is so much wrong with the power supply situation in Ghana at present it will take five years to bring some normality. Pathetic power distribution needs to improve tremendously and will require substantial investment of foreign exchange. The ECG needs to be overhauled to inject efficiency in its operations. Then there will be the need to introduce competition in the retail of power to consumers to drive down prices. A situation similar to what goes on in the UK is worth copying. So Mr Mahama should stop talking about export of power and spend whatever funding is available on projects that will inject efficiency. That is what he should be doing , that is what he should be talking about.

Mr president, i beg to differ and i object vehemently to ya position of making Ghana a power exporter...ma disagreement is premised on the ff: 1. just exporting raw power wont help resolved any of the issues confronting us as per unemployment and joblessness of our teeming youths...2. we are still largely a raw material exporting economy and exporting power will perpetuate our economic underdevelopment..3.exporting power will make nonsense our desire to industrialised and our transformational agenda as the these policy is going to be primarily hinged on availability of power and to drive this vision quickly propel our nation to prosperity and wealth creation for country....
so mr president better drop and shelve this idea which from ma observation of the president pronouncements over time he seemed so obsessed about without concrete evidence of its comparative economic advantage over other options enumerated above...
