  Pls the ministry of agric is dicouraging the youth in embarking on farming through the use of pictures of outmoded method of farming instead of showing technological method of farming.

  Coming out with a new agric. financing model is a step in the right right direction. However, this is a half solution because such arrangements without comprehensive yield and loan default payment protection (i.e., crop insurance) cannot provide sustainable solutions. Some studies have even found that the main challenge confronting smallholder farmers is not mainly lack of agro-inputs but more of unmitigated production risks. Having said this, half a loaf is better than none.
