  Any body who cares should google hotel prices any where and compare to those of Ghana. Even in the USA where purchasing power is high rooms in hotels are not that costly.

  This is the reason for lack of patronage. Get real and charge realistic prices or forget it.

  The Hotel industry is the most taxed industry by the government both in direct and indirect taxes, this is the more reason why most hotels charge higher tariffs in attempt to survive.
  
  Our govt should think outside the box and spread the tax net instead of squeezing and killing most identifiable businesses .
  
  if you doubt what I am telling you, find a friendly hotel owner who would allow you into the running of his or her hotel as an observer and after that, you would sympathise with most Hotel operators.
  
  Be open-minded at all times.

  True. Hotels should charge realistic rates so that citizens can patronise them. The rates are so high that out of towners who want to spend a couple of days start looking for relatives or friends to stay with. Review your rat ...
