  Yes , and we are even poorer than we think. No matter what we do we are going to remain poor for a long time. No politician can change it. What have you-?- Saving, fighting corruption,etc. nothing can save us.All governments have overspent overborrowed and done the wrong development. Where are our roads , railwaylines, the reliable electricity and water supplies. And yet we are talking about one factory for each district. The markets might develope on their own, but how are the factories going to transport goods to their markets ----during the rainy season. The rural roads are in a sorry state. After more than 50years of independence one might have assumed Ghana has an advanced infrastructure. None of our big parties campaigning seem to have practicable solutions to our problems. The infrastructure needed for development is not there where it should be. We have neglected our rural areas in favour of the capital towns. Now we want to build a factory in every district------the african way of doing things. I wish all of us good luck . May be the price for oil jumps up again.

  The NDC government has always touted over-subscription as a sign of confidence in the Ghanaian government. This is balderdash! Foreign investors oversubscribe the bonds because they are grossly under-priced. This means that the interest rates are too high. With interest rates on similar bonds in the US around 2%, china's economy on the downslide, there is nowhere to put the money other risking in useless countries like Ghana, for as long as they can guarantee this with the future oil production.
