Davi Sena, please stop your project, you'll annoy Mensah Otabil who doesn't want our youth to engage in farming.
You may have a progressive academic mind that sees the real need for this very enlightened approach to harnessing the potentials of our nation in human and natural resources but you'll make Mensah Otabil look backward, and we don't want to burst his bubble now, do we? After all he has been put foward as the most progressive educator and Pastor in Ghana.
So please madam progressive thinker, let your ideas wait until he finally wakes up one day to see the need, then he'll introduce it to his university and blast government for not doing so, and take the credit as the only wise man in Ghana.
This is not too much to ask of you, Davi Sena, is it? I believe you don't have time to read irrelevant ideas from non academic sources ( or non theological ones, even if the speaker is a pastor) so you don't know the 'latest news'. However after 'this my small advice' you can't plead ignorance, unless your stubhorn purpose in life is to positively contribute to humanity and not to criticise a particular government thoughtlessly.
If this is your indolent purpose in life, then Davi Sena I wish you Almighty God's blessings and strength for you will succeed where others will never ever thread.
Amen and Amen.

Ahh, after writing my comment, I clicked on the pictures and saw that you are a 'small girl'. I have also seen that you look like one of those 'small girls' who were educated 'abroad'. This means that you have not been corrupted - yet.
That means that you don't know that in the current political climate good ideas are not supposed to be announced or implemented when certain governments are in power. Never mind that it's a private initiative, never mind that it is to improve the standard of living of poor folk (who successive governments have ignored), never mind the fact that it will increase revenue for the nation.
You see, when some governments are in power (or are simply in office) God is supposed to be so displeased with them that the spirit of darkness must reign over the nation. No good idea must come out. They must all be shelved until the right party wins, then the blessings of God will flow (did I say wa wa wa).
But you are a 'small, abrokyire-educated girl' who neither knows the politics of Ghana (who says ignorance is not bliss), nor cares for them.
My word, I hope you fall under the second category of you don't care. Abrokyire education is expensive and you will be doing God and your parents great disservice (and letting yourself down) if you don't put the expenses and your intelligence to good use for God and country.
Let the old men play their politics and be answerable to the true God, and as for you what you have started is real ministry which God will only multiply and bless in ways you cannot even begin to comprehend.

Don't be dissapointed if you just jumped to read this post due to the caption. You see, that's what your over dependence on certificates instead of skills can do. A well packaged Samsung or Lebanese, Nigerian or other nationals or company cellphones support office would send out adverts like this caption, and young people would rush in applications in millions. But some, in fact many in that group have the capacity to learn and set up a similar outlet, making multiples of that same amount they expect to be paid! Why?
1. There, the company would give him an identity tag for his role that may not be tagged "phone repairer". So he feels 'cool' working there even for 50k.
2. He conditions his expectations to a guaranteed price tag at the end of the month.
3. I don't just know ...really

Look at low hanging fruits. Nigeria is buying salt from Brasil, however Ghana produces better salt than Brasil. Someone please start something else other than cocoa.

EWURABA, IT IS TIME THE OUTMODED FORM OF THE AGRICULTURAK SECTOR IS OVERHAULED.
ARE YOU NOT AWARE THAT;THE FARMING SECTOR IN GHANA IS STILL DOMINATED BY ILLITERATE PEASANT FARMERS, AND THIS SHOULD BE A SHAME TO THE SO CALLLED EDUCATED WITH DEGREES AND PHD TITLES TO ENGAGE THE YOUTH AT THE COCOA SECTOR AS LABOURERS IN GHANA.
FIRST AND FOREMOST IS AGRICULTURAL TRAINING,MIDDLE LEVEL PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AS (FARMER ARTISAN AND TECHNICIAN)THE KEY TO AGRICULTURAL AND AGRO -INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTIVITY AND DEVELOPMENT AT THE SECTOR.
WHY DO WE CONTINUE TO LOOK DOWN UPON THE YOUTH AS THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO ARE TO REVIVE THE COCOA SECTOR IN THE COUNTRY.
WE HAVE MANY EDUCATED AGRICULTURALISTS IDLING AT THE MINISTRY OF FOOD AND AGRICULTURE,REGIONAL AND DISTRICT DEPARTMENTS FOR NON PRODUCTIVE WORK IN THE COUNTRY.
THESE ARE MEN AND WOMEN WHO SHOULD BE TOLD TO TAKE COCOA FARMING AS THEIR PROFESSION IN THE COUNTRY.
WHEN ONE LOOKS TO COUNTRIES IN THE NORTH,IT IS THEIR EDUCATED AND TRAINED AGRICULTURALISTS WITH DEGREES AND PHD TITLES WHO FARM IN THE FIELDS, BUSILY ENGAGED IN THE HORTICULTURE AND FRUIT PRODUCTION.
THEREFORE,STRENGTHENING THE INVOLVEMENT OF AGRICULTURAL TRAINING IN FOOD PRODUCTION AND CASH CROPS POLICY PROCESSES IS CRUCIAL
LASTLY, HOW LONG SHOULD THE HARDWORKING ILLITERATE COCOA FARMERS CONTINUE TO EARN THE NATIONS HARD CURRENCY TO SERVICE NATIONAL BUDGETS, WAGES AND SALARIES, IMPORTATION OF FOOD ITEMES AND COMMODITIES AND EXPENSIVE CARS AND JEEPS FOR USE BY NON PRODUCTIVE EDUCATED AND POLITICIANS FOR THEIR HIGHLIFE AND MERRYMAKIMNG IN THE COUNTRY.
THIS IS EXPLOITATION, CHEATING AND STEALING.
IN SUM,PLEASE, WHAT HAVE BEEN THE ECONOMIC CONTRIBUTION OF THE PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES, NOISY EDUCATED PROFESSORS, LECTURERS AND ENGINEERS TOWARDS THE SOCIAECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF GHANA.
NOTHING BUT NOTHING,AND ONLY TO PUT THEIR BLAME ON LEADERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE.
ITS ONLY TECHNOLOGY, SCIENTIFIC INNOVATION AND CREAITIVITY THAT CAN TRANSFORM THE NATION AND NOT MERE HOPELESS AND USELESS PROJECT AIMS.
A NATION CANNOT BE BUILT ON THESE PRIMITIVE AND IRRATIONAL CRITICISMS.
