I agree with you. My initial understanding was that it related to unpaid bills for water supply. In any case, this is a matter of commercial/contract law. National security should have no role in it.

You are missing the point. The drilling Contractor must be held responsible for the damage. But Ghana water should respond to and fix the damaged water line and seek redress from the contractor and the Hotel Management who in ...

You are missing the point. The drilling Contractor must be held responsible for the damage. But Ghana water should respond to and fix the damaged water line and seek redress from the contractor and the Hotel Management who initiated the contract. Then the Hotel Management could seek court interference and hold the drilling company responsible for the court.

Contractors in Ghana get away with damages they coasted. I had a drilling company damaged my drive way gutter and just left. He was lucky I found out they cause the damaged after the fact.

How can anyone with a little brain go and locked up a hotel when indeed what you want from them is money. How can they pay you if they can't make money? In Ghana, things work the other way round. Did they consider the economic impact on jobs and peoples lives? It's a joke to say the least, you can come to some form of payment arrangements or even get someone to monitor their intake but locking the hotel is stupid and a typical African way of doing things.

What's national security got to do with Bill collection? Does this body of government know it's vital role? National security collecting cars, collecting bill and at times doing police work. This is not about party politics but most govt use this apparatus to do unnecessary things in the country. This is Water Works job and if possible police assistance not national security. Should concentrate on possible danger of a growing extremism in the sub region.
