  Seth Terkper is a tax and spend liberal and their left-wing liberal ideas is what is killing businesses in Ghana. Ghana should try and set up a small government and be that cost conscious.

  Yes, tax and spend is bad. Left-wing liberal ideas and big government are also bad. These arguments are however meaningful in a country like US. The main problem in Ghana currently is looting and mismanagement. Government spending and borrowing are high on paper but nobody sees what we spend on. Salaries of government workers not are even paid. The taxes are high in order to make up for the looting and mismanagement. The bad governance and looting needs to be corrected before any other discussion becomes meaningful.
