This is nothing new in Ghana. All what this wasteful government think of is winning elections not developing the economy to give employment to the teeming youth of the country. Building factories and infra-structures just to win elections is an economic malaise.
What could the government have done with the money to put down the factory while ensuring raw materials before the eventual take of the factory?
Our oil refinery is facing the same problem. This government prides itself in white elepants.
This way of incurring more debt for the country, will lead Ghana into a debt trap, may be a future Argentina.

Its a laudable for projecting into the demands of sugar importing and its consequence on the economy. Its the right step and government Shd forget those too knowing self aclaim economics.

Another example of state money being wasted on useless projects that will never yield a pesewa for the state. Government has to stop trying to get into business and leave this for private business. This government in particular has a bad record of causing financial loss. Every project is a smoke screen to loot and steal. I voted NDC in 2012 but never again.

MY MAJOR HEADACHE IS THAT OGOGLO DISTILLERS WILL OFFER A BETTER PRICE FOR THE SUGAR THAN THE FACTORY LEADING TO SHORTAGE OF THE RAW MATERIAL & EVENTUAL COLLAPSE OF THE FACTORY!!!
