  I read this with excitement only for me to read a comment like this from you. You are full of envy. And that will destroy you. If you are playing politics note that l work at the commercial bank and we have both npp and ndc supporters here. I guess same will apply at BOG. A central bank would have thought about this and deployment over several months, if you care to know. You are ignorant to use the word thieves on such a great idea. Foolish indeed.

  No more gold watches and astronomical interest rates. Gold watches for your staff do not develop Ghana. Business-friendly interest rates will provide a life line for business which are on the edge of collapse because of high cost of borrowing. Prudent monetary policies will lead to high level of employment in Ghana.

Can you compare 5000 euros to someone who served for 30 years to the over 300000 cedis MPs are paid for 4 years of service? My father worked there and got a gold watch and we still treasure this in the family. We cherish it even after his death. We laid that and his certificate by his side when he died. We displayed that. It was such a beauty. I am very emotional about this issue because as Ghanaians we fall easily for mediocrity. After the noise about the gold watches l was expecting similar uproar when the MPs ex gratia was announced. Or you think that is good. Ghana is raped big time by fools like you. Malafaka

  I am an investment banker based in the UK and l must admit that am very impressed by the BOG in recent months. Central bank secrecy has been broken since the 1990s and for a long time you remained shielded. In recent months the level of proactivity is impressive. My counterparts in Ghana have also confirmed this. There is less noise from you, just the trend of doing things in the 21st century central banking. This is good.
