  i never heard such rubbish be4. you cant justify the high cost of ec bills in Ghana on standby appliances only. Look in Europe appliances are left on 24- 7 yet your energy bill will never exceed 5% of your monthly income. The problem in Ghana is that because there is no database to help trace fraud in the system more than 50% of the bills collected end up in the pockets of corrupt officials. To stop these leakages every house in Ghana connected to the national Grid must be documented into a data so that at the end of every academic year records can be checked by 3 independent bodies for fraud. My house was connected to the Ec for 2 years before i was given a meter after paying bribe, in that 2 years they were coming to collect bills every month, so where do you think that money was going. as a country we must learn to sack and punish incompetent managers without compromise.

  We have been doing this for a long time. Our bills are just too expensive. Hope it's not a play on our intelligence. The NPP promised to reduce the cost of electricity and we are waiting anxiously
