He never raised his voice against the massive looting of state funds because he was enjoying part of the loot. I will say Ishmael Yamson is a useless man who is just interested in seeking attention of the new president and he must be ignored.

Stop the blame game and get to work. The NDC government did well on the economy. One moderate example is the relative stability of the cedi in the election year.
The 14% gdp growth you mentioned was an economy event due to the oil fields coming on line. No body in his/her right mind would expect the economy to grow at same rate over the years given the fact the price of crude oil tanked to less than 50% of 2013 levels.
In short crude oil drove up the gdp and rebased the value of the economy.

Stop seeking attention and offer tangible solutions to Ghana problems such as infrastructure and agriculture.

Also note that gdp to debt ratio is nonsense talk. Borrow all you can and build the infrastructure the country need to grow; the Europeans, South Americans and others did the same.

Wrong wrong! Master! We all knew that that the 14% GDP growth rate was with oil which was not sustainable. Yet, omane Boama used it to show that over the eight years NDC had a higher growth rate than NPP. What a dishonest application of statistics. If you really want to see the damage NDC has done to this economy just net out the contribution of oil in the economy and you would see the real damage. What is even more pathetic is the latest contribution of oil to the economy gleaned from the PAIC report which is about 125 million dollars of which 3.5 million dollars was used for bus branding and others. Even within the oil subsector, the misapplication of revenue is clear. As for the borrowing for infrastructure, it's still not handled properly. Take for example Ghana Gas, it's in a mess it can not service the almost 1 billion dollars Chinese loan. The loan never came to Parliament for scrutiny. It's first cost is certainly inflated and would impact negatively on any tariff to retire the debt. Which will be paid by me and you. You certainly cannot support higher tariff because of this mess can you?Master that's NDC for you! They just destroyed the country. The final evidence for the destruction of the economy by NDC is the run to the IMF. Remember that the last NPP govt actually took us out and went to the capital market for our first eurobond. Now, the NDC goes to the eurobond market to retire previous bonds with the attendant high interest payments on the domestic market. Come again sir, if it's bad, it's bad period.

Mr Yamson should stop playing the blame game and advise the new government what to do to return the economy to a sound footing. After all, that's what Nana Akufo-Addo promised Ghanaians he would do if voted to power. Now, he has got into power lets see what he can do. There is no point always talking about what Mahama government had done to the economy. Give solution, Yamson & Associates, to return it to the historical figure of 14% growth.

What triggered the downward trend of the economy emanated from the very time that the NPP opposition unwittingly undermined the integrity of the Statistical Services. It cast doubt in the minds of would-be investors and contributed to the curtailment of investment to the country.

The global credit crunch which followed when NDC government got power became an added problem. In that period govt, old or new, in the western world and in Africa had economic problems on hand. There was economic turmoil all over the world of which the then new govt of Barrack Obama in United States, Gordon Brown's in United Kingdom, Prof Atta-Mills' of Ghana among others were casualties. Few of them have partially recovered but not out of the wood yet. In Ghana's case the problem has prolonged because of the political wrangling, the out of range borrowing and the lack of energy('dumsor').

The borrowing side of the matter cannot all regarded as a bad idea as it was, by and large, used for infrastructural projects which will yield economic dividend for the country in the long run.

In reality it is a fact that being a board chairman of a company never makes one to stop being bias and a political and tribal bigot. This bigotry has been displayed by the man Yamson who never considered terrible hard times that many countries that relied on oil to balance their economies went through of which Ghana is not an exception.

This oil upset that worked against many economies depending on oil never left Ghana outside the burning circle in the year 2012 onwards, therefore Yamson's comment failed to realise the facts hence in my opinion he is a bigot or a fool with hatred who chose to talk about Ghana's economy either for a foolish political fame or a man without knowledge-educated buffon.

In my opinon every rational person interested in our politics without tribal or political hatred or have a real wider scope of international economy will never nailed Mahama on the economy. It is because Mahama in his personality never did bad as many tried to present him. He carried out many projects that will talk about him in the future.

Nkrumah was likewise described by the many that hated him and was thus presented to myopic Ghanaians of destroying the economy without making references of the sabotage that he faced.

It is unfortunate that those, including today's the NPP gangs who stood against Nkrumah and used the media to destroy him had been proved wrong by the heavens that see all works of people since nobody can escape His eyes. Today after many years of negative comments of his economy, he had been seen as the best among the many.

Now hear this: all of you NDC guys are making lots of noise about projects and Infrastrature undertaken by Mahama, in economic management you don't impoverish the people in the name of projects and infrastructure. Just as Osafo Marfo said "Mahama used lazy ways to raise funds" and this brought the economy to its knees. You raised the issue of oil prices decling, but we never saw this reflecting on the prices, if your Mahama was smart he would have devised better ways of raising funds and not to take the little monies people had through taxes. Again you and your cohorts NDC guys should stop that Stone Age politics of always referring to Nkrumah in your attempt to secure public simpathy. The truth is your Mahama failed bitterly as a president that's why he was rejected by all. Even the international community rejected him.
