You're just ignorant!. Do you know how the international financial market works? There are eminent financial and economic dons in Ghana and all over the world and of which Bawumia is a mere small fish in the league. But could you tell me which one has been able to answer the economic and financial problems/difficulties in the world or their individual countries? Could you just name one of them for real? Listen, when it comes to managing your finances or that of a nation, it is not how much book stuff you know or have acquired. You seriously need some self- discipline and risk more than what the books tell you. And don't forget that what you have learnt today may become obsolete or irrelevant for any application after just a short time. In managing a country or a big organisation especially, an international ones, the key thing is not just demand and supply theories but mainly the EASTICITY of the supply and demand but the crucial force in the international market to attract investors to invest in a business in country is confidence and confidence is always guided by SPECULATION!!!. The ups and downs of the cedi or any currency is mainly due to the speculations. Being it political, a change in leadership, environmental disaster, social, war and weather etc. It is wrong to believe that a country's currency is good because it is mainly her economic output or performance. Modern economics and especially, government now seriously considers political-economics as a major formula for managing the economics of the country because decisions about a country are mainly political and nothing else! This is why the like of Bawumia, or any of the leadership especially, whilst in government must be aware and rather be more calculated with their utterances in order not to cause any damage to the economy. Bawumia should not spew the classroom stuff. Besides most of the things we learn in the classroom are someone people's ideas for their countries or environments. Now is the time to be practical and learn a bit of real practical economics from the 'makola woman' ( no A'level or PhD) and add it to his newly acquired economics and apply it as appropriate to the Ghanaian economy to enhance the agenda for progress and development for our dear country.
