The industry is in need of several interventions so congratulating government for policy to increase maize production alone cannot revive this dying industry. Instead of frankly laying the concerns on the table you're licking government in the bum just to court political affection. We are watching

This poultry farmers were crying until the immediate past government came to their aid,they will then produce the birds and when it's time for sales,they sell it to the Ivorians.Ghanaians will continue to inport frozen chicken because of the hypocritical nature of o our farmers.how will the government use our taxe payers money to support the cost of poultry production and banned iimportation of frozen chicken all for the sake boosting the industry.meanwhile our farmers prefer to sell it ivorians ?.ask them home much they pay their workers ?

I rather think doing so is good for the Ghana economy since they buy the birds with foreign currency thereby making more money to feed themselves and their family. Secondly, the government must also scrap taxes on agro imports to reduce the prices for the feed since most of the feed are imported. Poultry is not all that profitable if u are not doing it on a very large scale.

Why investing in building an industry where it's predictable that we can't compete against much better equipped country's?
