  The interest rate on loans in Ghana is over 30% (the highest interest rate in the world). This is completely unacceptable; small and medium size companies that get these loans cannot repay due to the astronomical interest rates. The government should force the Bank of Ghana to reduce the interest rate with immediate effect. This Shylock interest rate should be eliminated. Ghanaian businessmen and women have suffered long enough from the highest interest rate in the world. Give us a break!! The bankers have linked up with the politicians to ensure that this unbearable interest rate never goes away. Shame on you NPP and NDC politicians for not doing anything about this important issue that affects businesses and creates unemployment.
  I wish all companies and the TUC could start a campaign to reduce the interest rate.

  It takes one strong person to lead and meet the challenges for prosperous Africa to emerge.
  
  Our education is meaningless unless it is linked with monumental African prosperity in a single currency and market.

  Anytime I read of such topics I cringe. First of all, the write ups are so classroom lecture type void of sensible implementation within the climate we as Africa operate in. It seems to me our local businesses do not have the capabilities and the insight create the environment the banks are asking for. Our political climate is complicated and therefore it is incumbent on the banks to create so call "incentivized business protocols" to encourage the markets.
  Secondly, the continent is weak as trading partners to foster this prosperous" merger"? What oversights do we have in place?
  Stop these intellectual notes and provide meaningful economic frameworks that are easily implemented.
  The African business man ordinarily is strained and need short term goals to be sustainable. Give them the right biz environment to be lucrative.
