  The Vice President was on point about commercial invoices of imports. However the cure is to have an effective and efficient verification system for Commercial invoices in line with WTO rules of valuation. This so called National single window project is simply a monopoly created for one company.

  Mr. Vice President, in the current valuation system where values assessed by Customs officers are sometimes rejected by customs officers at the ports tells you there is something wrong. We need proper price verification system from countries of origin and supply supported with a strong risk management system to achieve the set goals of this govt.

  Tema port needs automation to promote efficiency. The human element present at the port is too much and it only promotes corruption. But Dr Bawumia, the beneficiaries of this corrupt system at the port will resist the change and so watch out and do the right thing in the interest of mother Ghana.

  Mr. Vice President I think you need an in-depth analysis of the alleged corruption in Customs. Interestingly that is a symptom of the actual problem. Most of the corruption at the port are induced by politicians.
