  Why are we leasing the only power producing Company to foreigners for 20years?WHY????Give me one good reason why it is so necessary to lease this sensitive national asset to foreigners for 20 years.Don't these idiots understand that by giving the controls of the only power production to foreigners they are in effect turning over our economy and national security to them?Even Somalia in it's current state will not agree to such a stupid thing.Without power Schools,Hospitals,Factories and Businesses will fail.So please tell me why is it wise to turn control of the only national power company to foreigners who through the protection of internaltional law will be able to charge as much as they want and operate in any way they saw fit.These are the same people who threatens us with mass deportations of Ghanaians everytime they don't get their way.Are our leaders that stupid not to see what lies ahead?????If our leaders are admitting that they cannot run a simple company that supply power to 30million people(Nigeria supplies power for over 180million people,Kenya 80 million) then whom do we pay taxes to and for what??????I urge all patriotic Ghanaians to resist this oppressive deal with every ounce of their strength.

  This is privatization under Pubic Private Partnership agreements. The MCC compact deal never called for total privatization but rather bringing in private partnership under contract to make the ECG more efficient.
