What didn't we hear when NPP was in opposition during Rawlings era? Dr. Kofi Konadu Apreku made those ugly noises,and when NPP won power in 2000 general elections, he was appointed the Trade minister where he reiterated it again to set up a tomato processing factory but never see the light of day.The DCE must cautious of his promises.

All assemblies should explore their districts and write business plans on products that can be processed into finished goods. Districts along the coast, between Shana and Aflao, can plan for salt production. Nfantseman district can also plan for pineapple juice extraction. National investment promotion council should have records of all business plan so that investors can have access to them. Assemblies should take the initiative to make the president's work easier.

current Govt policy for the 1 District-1 Factory policy and why the President is keen to have his appointees sworn in as DCE's & MCE's.According to the Trade & Industry Minister, prior to leaving Office in 2008, the NPP had carried out research studies in over 100 Districts regarding manufacturing agricultural products. They also received over Business Plans. The Trade & Industry Minister, provided these details during his Vetting.
