Are you telling Ghanaians that Dr Stephen Opuni who nearly collapse the cocoa industry with your wife lordina as the main supplier on everything including sanitary pad at the cocoa board should be maintained in office. Are you telling Ghanaians that the Standard Board Authority Executive secretary by appointed by you who looted the state should be maintained in office. The SADA rot n you say that they the CEO and board members should be maintained in office. NIB boss , ADB boss , GCB boss , Colonel Damoah ,Director of manpower , Ghana Arm forces ,National Youth Employment Coordinators at the District level including 88 national security officials and 442 newly recruited military men were all sacked from office when was the vice president and chairman of the police council .Under Nana Addo government your corrupt youth employment coordinators who created the Geeda mess are still in Office. Your wife who failed to supply fertilizer to cocoa board at a cost of $380m even though she was paid fully is now walking free and you’re talking about human rights abuse. If the Dog fails to shout on thief it means there is sharing between the Dog and the thief” .   THE QUESTION those galamseyers should ask themself is that - if they are allow to destroy the lands and the water bodies , all of them have children where are they going to get water to drink ?
  where are they going to farm land to cultivate ?
  so it is in the interest of their children and the unborn generations , hence it must be stoped

  If honest and patriotic journalists accompany equally honest and patriotic officials from the Minerals Commission, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Water Resources Commission, to inspect the operatiins of all the legally registered small-scale mining companies across the nation, not a single one of them will escape being slapped with an order to cease their operations immediately.
  
  All those companies without exception mine gold far in excess of the 25-acre limits imposed on them, and use their documentation to fraudulently cover illegal mining operations on land in other areas away from their concessions that they buy from desperately poor farmers for peanuts.
  
  If the minister for lands and natural resources, Hon John Peter Amewu, and the media come to my family's 14-square mile freehold upland evergreen rainforest property at the Akyem Juaso section of thre Atewa Range, I shall show them all the evidence they need to understand clearly just how crooked and thoroughly dishonest the entire small-scale good mining sector is.
  
  Hon Amewunsnd the media accompanying nim, will also understand why we must ban all surface gold mining in Ghana once and for all, because it poses a threat to the well-being of our nation and its people.
  
  The nonsense about job creation by small-scale miners bandied about by them is just that: pure nonsense on bamboo stilts.
  
  They are exploiting poor rural dwellers and knowingly exposing them to carcinogenic heavy metals and other toxic chemicals. That is immoral and callous in the extreme.
  
  Finally, when the Hon Amewu and the media in Ghana see the amazing beauty of our family's freehold upland evergreen rainforest property, they will understand how when the world's longest forest canopy walkway (1000 metres long with 19 bridges) we will be building there soon, will create a sustainable local green economy that will bring real wealth and jobs galore to the residents of Akyem Juaso, Akyem Saamang and Akyem Osino, till the very end of time.
  
  Yet, Hagnella Mining Company, and its assigns, fraudulently using documentation issued by regulatory bodies - for a concession in a different area of forest away from our property,which should never have been given out as concessions in the first place, if the Fanteakwa District Assembly's regulatory bodies were doing their work properly and honestly - as a cloak to hide the fact that were engaged in illegal gold mining operations on our family's freehold land in partnership with my criminally-minded cousin Kwame Thompson, our corrupt Abusuapanin Mr. Bampoe and our now dismissed overseer, the big thief John Awuku, alias "Red."
  
  Such a visit will show the minister and the Ghanasian media accompanying him, why it would be stupid on the part of Ghanaians to sit unconcerned and let greedy and selfish people who do not care one jot about the effect of their actions on their fellow humans, and on forests and ecosystems across Ghana, to destroy what is left of our natural heritage.
  
  Last year (2016) Thailand earned US$71 billion from 31 million visitors.
  
  Could we not earn even a quarter of that figure if we build an ecotourism industry anchored on what is left of our nation's natural heritage - and create wealth that stays in rural Ghana and jobs galore for our youngwr generations too, I ask?
  
  We must ban all surface GOIL's ming in Ghana - a foolish and dangerous policy idea forced on the hapless Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC) regime by the World Bank: because they knew it would take the already-high net worth of the shareholders of Western gold mining companies to stratospheric heights and make even more super-rich from regular 'dividend payments from those golkd mining companies.
  
  The price we have Oseis as a people in terms of the destruction of most of our nation's natural heritage has dimply not been worth it.
  
  We must end this abomination once and for all!

Where on this earth would small scale miners be allowed to use EXCAVATORS to destroy the environment? Small scale miners are not allowed to use EXCAVATORS to mine in SOUTH AFRICA. Only in Ghana because of greed and dishonesty.This menace will never stop unless the government put in place a long long term ban, at least 10 years.

They must be made to fix the damage they have caused or else be thrown in jail. They actually have the balls to ask to be allowed to go back to continue the carnage. These people are not afraid because we have not shown enough anger as a nation at the harm that has been caused. What they are getting is not even a slap on the wrist!!
