Just arresting the Tabletop petrol hawkers will not solve the problem.Long distance drivers traveling between cities,towns and villages lacking filling stations along the way are compelled to rely on tabletop petrol hawkers out of necessity not because they hate the engines in their vehicles.The best solution will be turning this hazardous and costly problem into economic opportunities for Ghanaian investors.We could assist Goil Franchisees to set up Reststops with filling stations,Restaurants,Tiolets and Police/Customs check points along all our inter city/town roads.That will obviate the need for drivers to refuel with diluted petrol in rusted jerrycans from tabletop-hawkers.We don't want our leaders to just identify the problems,but follow them up with pragmatic solutions and see to their successful implementation.
