  Our Parliament is becoming sensitive and I applaud the Manhyia MP for raising the issue. We have so many wicked business people in Ghana and when theyset their mind on exploitation nobody can stop them. I never knew there is Hire Purchase Law in Ghana and I wonder why it is dormant. The best way forward is regulating framework so that the operators should offer new cars and proper working conditions for the drivers.

  There is so much greed and lack of compassion by our Ghanaian business financiers, especially with this so called "Work and Pay" Taxi business which is nothing but exploitation of the weak that it'll be sensible for the Gov't to step in with more favourable regulations for these exploited individuals or even go to the other alternative of allowing the car importers or retailers to go into the taxi hire purchase business to aid the prospective Taxi drivers!

  Well meant but mission impossible leadign to many driver sacrificing everything and psuhing themselves just to meet it . Some don't even make it because of serious accident which is often caused by driver fatigue.

Most drivers disappointed them. The get the car today, tomorrow they r doing wedding . Adding more girlfriends. The only solution is to argue in parliament for government to reduce duty on used cars especially if is to be used for taxi. Why is it that Gh is the only country in West Africa if not in the Whole Africa charging soo high at the ports.
