  Imagine if sovereign Ghana actually own copyright to "Kente".
  
  We imagine the harder one is actually the foundation Geographic Information Systems (GIS), to include spatial imagery, mapping, and location identification.
  
  In that sense, the GI discussed in the article is just a layer, among many. It is surely a lot farther from the most important ones from the point of view of development.

  LouisVuitton is marketing the "Ghana must go" bags as their trademark, and using those unique colours in their fabrics as their own.
  The foresight of 2003 did not, its seems, go the full hull. The example of the "Ghana must go" bags and the fabrics which has now been appropriated by Louis Vuitton is a clear example, we are missing out and not earning what is due us as a country, for as long as there is this state of dormancy in the legal framework with regards to this georgraphical indication.
