  I do not want to believe this is a recent occurrence. There of course, must be a record to show that the down times have happened in previous times, as well. Disbelieve is not one should think about but the recent spate of break downs of the system as reported, is worrying. Especially, when government is trying hard to generate enough revenue. Is it not time to source for a well functioning system? It is the very reason I have been advocating for government to separate Customs and Excise from the other revenue collecting agencies. So, the ports and harbors where most incomes are generated, will be given close marking. Business at the ports should be made friendly to encourage more entities to use them.

  When there is monopoly, this is what happens. The people at GCNet don't care. There should be an alternative. Ghana has a culture of improper maintenance of anything that is government owned. They should get a system that is immune to weather fluctuations.
