  Indeed what is the point dredging up an event that happened 7years ago.

  As a customs attorney in the USA, I see no rationale as to why the government will outsource any automated customs system to an outsider. The software is normally written by appointed government agents, but the management of the system itself is by Customs, not a third party. Everything done in Ghana smells of rot, why? Why should a whole Ghana Customs be dependent on an outsider to handle entry processing, etc instead of a broker having direct interface with Customs? Everything is bedeviled by corruption even as we operate in a technologically advanced world. When will we shed this ignominy?
