Four people have been arrested by the military in another recruitment scam that has hit the Ghana Armed Forces.

Starr FM broke the news Monday about the recruitment fraud in the military after a similar one was detected in the Ghana Police Service which has led to the interdiction of the Director General of Human Resource Development of the Service, COP Patrick Timbillah.

A victim who shared his story with Starr News narrated that he was directed by a military officer to pay GH¢2000 in the hope that he would be recruited into the army but has not been able to secure admission, despite paying the monies requested of him.

Lieutenant Colonel Aggrey Quarshie, the Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Armed Forces confirmed to Starr News Tuesday that the four people were arrested in two separate swoops.

Three people including a youngman who posed as a soldier were arrested in one swoop while the other person was also arrested in a separate operation.

Lt. Col. Quarshie, however, said the military in collaboration with the Police is conducting further investigations to establish if there are any accomplices within the military.

He added the four people have been handed over to the Ghana Police Service for further investigations.
