The Financial and Tax High Court has reviewed the bail conditions imposed on the embattled former boss of the Ghana Real Estate Development Association (GREDA), Dr. Alexander Tweneboah.
The bail bond has now been increased from GHC50,000 to GHC200,000 with two sureties to be met.
Dr Tweneboah and six others are standing trial for SIM boxing.
The case was transferred from the Accra magistrate court to the financial High Court on the advice of the Chief Justice.
Dr. Tweneboah has pleaded not guilty to charges of providing unlicensed telecommunication services and illegally possessing telecom equipment.
He and his syndicate are believed to have defrauded the state to the tune of $33 million through their illegal activities.
