An Accra high court has fixed July 15, 2015 to deliver its judgement in the trial of Bishop Daniel Obinim, founder of Godsway International Ministry.

This was after Ralph Poku-Adusei, lawyer for the man of God, had asked the court for an adjournment to enable him file his written address in respect of the case.

He said the address of the prosecution was served on him at the court yesterday and as such, needed some time to respond accordingly.

However, the prosecution indicated that they had filed their written address on June 23, 2015.

Justice Abdulai Iddrisu, who was presiding, adjourned hearing of the case until July 15 by which time the defence team would have filed its written address.

Bishop Obinim is being tried for harming a radio presenter -Paul Kwame Ntim Okatakyie – atthe studio of Hot FM, an Accra-based radio station, when he (Obinim) and his associate pastors stormed there in 2011.

Weeks ago, the court discharged the two associate pastors – Kinsley Baah and Kofi Kwetey – who were standing trial with Bishop Obinim for allegedly vandalizing the property of Hot Fm.

The two were let off the hook while their boss was asked to open his defence on causing harm to Ntim Okatakyie, while the latter was presenting the programme: ‘Nya Asem Hwe,’ three years ago.

The bishop was discharged on seven counts of causing unlawful damage, unlawful entry and conspiracy to commit assault.
