Porter in court for possessing Indian hemp

Asamankese, April 24 - GNA - The Asamankese Circuit court has remanded in prison custody a 28-year-old porter, Emmanuel Kwasi Kadzaku who appeared before it for possession Indian hemp. The plea of Kadzaku was not taken and he would re-appear in court on May 18. Police Chief Inspector Kate Ogyiri said the police had information that the accused and five others were distributing Indian hemp on the banks of Abuchen River but his colleagues jumped into the river, swam to the other bank and escaped. Kadzaku, who apparently could not swim, took to his heels but was chased and arrested. 24 April 08
