He said some time in November last year, the accused visited Richard and whilst in his room,

her host went out leaving his phone behind.

Sgt Amoako said the accused responded to a call on Richard’s phone and when she noticed it was a female voice she decided to interrogate the caller.

The prosecutor said through the interrogation tempers arose between the two and they exchanged words on the phone.

Sgt Amoako said a week after the incident, Ms Monkoh on her way to fetch water from a nearby tap met the accused who held her hands, pulled her to the ground and assaulted her till she was rescued by people around.

He said Ms Monkoh who had bruises in the right arm and left leg was threatened by the accused to expect more harm, compelling her to report the matter to the police.
