Yes, the Businessman should be praised. Such Protocol Employees abound in Ghana but when people complain, it comes to nothing. Then, the President is always blamed when he might not even know what has happened. If found guilty, please don’t only fine him. Let him do a little Prison time of about three months in Prison with Hard labor. Make sure his labor is really hard. He should also be dismissed to face the queue of the unemployed. He will now very much feel like how it is to be unemployed in Ghana.
These are the people who become rich overnight as a result of corruption and demand to be respected and does not respect any authority in Ghana. I was really dumbfounded when I saw Chairman Wontumi now becoming fear stricken when he was arrested after the Law got him.

They always extort money from travellers to the point that it has become public and normal just like extortion on our roads by the MTTD officials. The hardest thing to find in Ghana is a sincere person, we are all corrupt to the marrow!

You guys are just complaining bcus you have nt had the opportunity to work in that organization b4, i have had the opportunity to work in customs for close to eight yrs b4 i left to pursue other things in life, the businessman reported the officer bcus he might have been maltreated or disrespected by the officer in question, the so called business people are the ones who are enticing these officials with money just to reduce the amount of duties they must pay at the port, most customs officials i know dnt actual wanna do corruption bt it's these businessmen who are creating all this kind of corruption in our system n turn around to create the impression that customs are corrupt.
