Ghana Police Service is wasting their time, what they're doing is not the solution. We can only bring sanity into our public commercial transport system by banning Trotros and introduce mass modern transport operated by large private transport companies. When public transport is operated by companies it's very easy to control them.Again with good employees work ethics, drivers & conductors can easily be discipline by their employers.

If the government had continued with the policy of mass transportation system as planned by the previous administration, trotro drivers wouldn't dare overcharge their passengers. Arresting drivers will just accelerate the growth of hatred for the administration. You politicians don't ever learn from each other's damaging miscalculations.

From kpong to koforidua used to be 35 cedis but have been increased to 40 cedis. From kpong to Madina used to be 25 cedis but have been increased to 30 and what have you. The local Trotro in krobo used to be 2.50 but have been increased to 4..00 cedis. The National GPRTU and GRCC Executives must call these Krobo transport executives to reverse these unsanctioned fared and punish them. There is always fighting between drivers and passengers because of these unapproved increases in transport fares in Kroboland here. GHANA POLICE MUST COME IN QUICKLY to avoid bloodshed soon among passengers and drivers in kpong, Odumase Krobo and Somanya.

The moment the government set date to increase fuel prices , the GPRTU should have also set the same date to increase lorry fares. Intact free those driver and the mate . Why must you increase your price and be expecting you to tell me to increased mine whilst you have already increased yours. It doesn’t and up where is it done? It’s like a Milo factory increases a price of their products in the factory which I have psi for . Now the factory is telling me if I go to the market I should not increase mine . Does that make any sense? In fact all drivers should have call for strike until they free their co-driver.
