I agree with Frank.They should locked them up for 1month before getting them out. If your visa expires while in China, they lock you up for 1month before they send you out. We should do the same thing to them here.

Why should one security agency foment trouble for other security agencies to deal with? This Ghana immigration service is so grossly ignorant and out of touch with international immigration ideas that it needs to be reshuffled with immediate effect. Certainly, if your brother is a policeman, you will not think he is in a safe service with all these Chinese wielding guns everywhere in the bush. Certainly, you could neither say that Ghanaians, especially rural dwellers are any safer with pits dug indiscriminately and water polluted with impunity.
One of the main problems we have in Ghana today is that there is no opposition. In fact, there has never been any credible opposition in Ghana making the state of our politics both laughable and lamentable. Unless you won an election, you have no interest in the nation.

So folks, if you want to be in Politics, you must just as well start with being either corrupt or tribalistic as this will blind us from what really matters to our lives. These Chinese obviously have no respect for us but what they do of course understand about us is that we have no sense of nationhood, no unity and no patriotism. They are currently exploiting us north, south, east and west all at the behest of our politicians who incidentally have chains of academic qualifications. So, what do we do?

We need to place strong emphasis on national consciousness, vocal pressure and interest groups, trade unions, etc as well as instituting long term corrections in our school curriculum to introduce civic education as Nkrumah did. I am an NDC person but I will expect Mahama to get down to changing things hard and fast. I will also want very much that Mr Addo start working as an opposition leader or give way to somebody who might really want to take over from Mahama one day. I may be for Mahama now, but my interest lies with who is creative, dynamic, proactive and features as an internationally astute politician. More importantly, we will all prefer a President who can unite the nation to reach prosperity and self-reliance.

1. When mercury is used in such activities, it shatters the nutural landscape and makes the land barren.

2. It means by now, the nutural sources of drinking water are no longer good.

3. The future generations will have no viable land to work on.

4. Try going to US/China to engage in any such activity on either a private or public land: You may be given a life sentence with lifetime monetary compensatory debt.

5. Most Ghanaians have no sense of tomorrow; most would rather take bribe to feed the stomach at the instance.

6. American forefathers had a foresight and instituted their economy and natural resources to benefit future generations.
