She asked me if I wanted to send it to my bank account, credit card or Western Union. I replied to again to her if this is not a scam send it to Western Union. Then she said okay please call to 202-640-6471 and provide them this confirmation number AC285. I handle the phone and immediately I contact such number and guess what , Nobody replied. It was a scam. So I exhort all the word that if they receive this kind of scam, to immediately hand off the phone, do not submit any of your personal information and yes, review where the number came from and report it to your phone provider. Thanks

I do it all out-of-pocket in my spare time after a full time job, three e-Commerce sites, and a brick and mortar so it is what it is and will be what it will be.Yes, I still believe there is strength in numbers, both financially and politically. I'm just not sure what the magic number is. Is it our current strength of 3,750? Is it 5,000? I don't know the answer to that one. And of our current 3750, there are only a few dozen that contribute to the alerts and the forum that are available to members. And then there's my time factor. There's much that I'd like to accomplish yet but limited hours in a day. The blog post above went out at 11:00 PM last night this comment is being typed before 8:00 AM before I head to my office. Merchant911 and all that goes with it is a full time job that I just don't have the time for. I'll keep on keeping on.

One of the more interesting thgnis about Autonomy were that they did not have an internal audit group and they voluntarily delisted from the U.S. ahead of Sarbanes Oxley implementation (citing costs of compliance). Lack of an internal audit group in a high growth, acquisitive company with a market cap well over the billion dollar mark is a huge red flag in and of itself, not to mention the games they were playing with organic growth, the disconnect between receivables and deferred revenue, and the really aggressive cost capitalization they use. Talk about the perfect control environment to commit fraud... Everyone involved on the due diligence side of this deal should be fired and Meg does not escape blame here. I don't know how much the break up fee was, but it had to be less than $8.8 billion.And the Autonomy CEO was pretty disingenuous to suggest that $200 million was a pittance compared to the write-down when he knew full well that the only reason software companies get bought at such ridiculous prices is for the implied growth potential. If that $200 million wasn't there, Autonomy wasn't reporting growth and no one would've been interested in buying them out.
