Many of these go undetected and they are happening because of the greed of some people to get rich quickly and due to asymmetry of information, and lac of accountability in Ghana. Go to the government departments, hardly would one find a secretary or a helpdesk staff. Transactions in Ghana are carried out outside the offices.I wish their ill gotten wealth burn with them in hell. Shame

HOW COULD NO LEADER REALIZE THAT CENTRALIZATION PUTS SO MUCH FINANCIAL PRESSURE ON THOSE OUTSIDE ACCRA-TEMA?

DECENTRALIZATION WILL ALSO REDUCE THE DRIFT INTO CITIES AND MAXIMIZE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF HUMAN CAPITAL.

IT WILL ALSO REDUCE ADMINISTRATIVE BOTTLE-NECK AND MASSIVE CORRUPTION. CORRUPTION WOULD BE EASY TO COUNTER, GIVEN THE SIZE OF THE POPULATION.

Corruption is so ripe in Ghana even from the law makers to the KVIP attendant. This is all due to mismanagement of politics cum infrastructure since independence. All we love to say is the empty philosophy 'we are the first country south of the Sahara to attain independence' but and a big but where is the civil understanding of the people to know that you do not seek admission into school or an institution by meeting an agent to pay you way through. Politicians use poor naïve illiterates to earn votes into power only to reap wealth. Then the so-called literate exploit the unsuspecting semi/illiterate to top up their meagre salaries for a living. What a shame.

The idea of coup de'tat recruitment in the police service must stop so that a democratic recruitment is restored.
